An exciting position is now open and available, the Venue Manager of Father Carpenter restaurant.

This senior management position is one that requires previous experience in restaurant management, financial controlling and is on a full time basis. 

The Venue Manager has the overall responsibility for directing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operation, including product preparation and delivery, customer relations, restaurant maintenance and repair, inventory management, team management, recruiting, hiring, termination and/or retention of team members, financial accountability, and ensuring that the highest quality products and services are delivered to each customer.

Job Purpose: The Venue Manager leads the operation of the restaurant. The Venue Manager has success when the restaurant is performing well against all of its metrics: revenue targets, profitability percentage targets, staff happiness vs. turnover.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Manage and oversee the entire restaurant operation
    • Help in developing and maintaining a healthy company culture that is on brand and consistent throughout. 
    • Deliver superior guest services, ensuring guest satisfaction
    • Help plan new and update existing menus
    • Help to plan and develop the overall restaurant marketing strategy
    • Respond efficiently to customer questions and complaints
    • Organize and supervise shifts
    • Manage and lead staff
    • Hire new employees and ensure correct training, and evaluate staff performance regularly
    • Manage restaurant supplies and therefore costs
    • Control costs and minimize waste
    • Monitor operations and initiate corrective actions
    • Implement innovative strategies to improve productivity and sales.
    • Cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions.
    • Recruits, interviews, and hires team members, conducts performance appraisals, takes disciplinary action, motivates and trains.
    • Ensures that the company safety and security policies are being adhered to.
    • Ensures that the restaurant is in compliance with the preventative maintenance with regards to facility, equipment, and grounds maintenance.
    • Ensures a safe working and customer experience environment by facilitating safe work behaviors of the team.
    • Maintains fast, accurate service, positive guest relations, and ensures products are consistent with company quality standards.

Language Ability: This position requires excellent written, verbal and group communication skills in English and German. This position also requires the ability to read, analyze, create and interpret general business memos and documents in both languages fluently. 

Computer Skills: Good computer skills required. 

Physical Demands: This position will require long periods of standing on hard surfaces, occasionally in warm temperatures. There is also likely to be extensive lifting of supplies and materials and moderate to loud noise. The use of hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects is required.

5 days per week / Full time
